Extra-dry tetrahydrofuran (THF) stabilised with 0.02-0.03%w/w BHT and containing less than 0.01% water. The addition the BHT stabiliser inhibits the formation of explosive-prone peroxides in autoxidation during prolonged storage or exposure to air or light.
